ALR5 Case 6: Junpei's Letter
[It's long, taking up both the front and back of the page.]
If you're reading this, then you must have forgotten you wrote and hid it in the first place. I'm not sure how far back they're going to set you — if it's possible you might have forgotten everything — so here are the Sparknotes on what you need to get out of this.
1. Akane isn't here. She's not involved in this game in any way. You're on your own.
2. You can't reach the morphogenetic field. NO SHIFTing. If you don't remember what that is, forget it, it's not important.
3. Someone is fighting to save you. You have to protect yourselves until then.
These are the people you're with:
★ Church - "Alpha" on his profile, don't call him that. Best friend in any history. Family. Trust him, protect him with your life. Might fight but you'll get over it. Use a happier hero this time for codename.
★ Arianna - Tries her goddamned best. About as smart as Clover, but genuinely good. Reliable and not as naive as she seems. Kind of like a sister, or sister-in-law. Trust her.
★ Nari Nishitani - Medical knowledge. Emotionally volatile, but good friend and invest. partner. Not a sister, but family? Saved your arm. Trust her.
★ Heart - Definitely a tokusatsu badguy but most caring person I know. Trying to look out for us. Trustworthy.
✿ Jane Crocker - Good kid. Insecure so overcompensates by clinging to her own perspective. Really gonna go places after this. Take care of her.
✿ Misumaru Yurika - Annoying, sees things too simply. Good heart. Won't do anything to hurt group. Space skills.
✘ Xander - Fuck this asshole. After we save ourselves I hope he dies. Important to Jane.
❋ Noctis Lucis Caelum - Genuine hero without annoying savior complex. Good sense of humor/perspective. Probably won't kill.
❋ Max Caulfield - Normal kid fucked up by love and time travel, same as you used to be. Trust her. Take care of her. Purple hair now, IDK if profile updated.
❋ Fukawa Touko - Also been through games before these, came out caring and supportive, if unhinged. Doesn't deserve this. Trust her. Alt. personality crazy but not bad.
❋ Pyrrha Nikos - Could probably snap me over her knee but too polite to. Another good heart. Probably won't hurt anyone.
○ SIS - Seems to be on our side. Consult Church as needed.
These are the people you have to remember:
★ Ardyn - Watching out for you deeper within the game. Thinks of you as a son. Engaged to Church. Your king and family. Trust him, and save him. Don't let Church forget someone would destroy worlds for love of him. Keep Church in one piece until then.
★ Wakasa Yuuri -
You will always love Akane. No matter how many times you chase or deny or bury or forget her, that will always be true. As long as there's a world with Akane in it, you'll love her. That's just what Tenmyouji Junpei does.
But I love Yuuri. And even when I forgot — even though there's still time I've forgotten — I still did, and do. What I want isn't to be in a world with her in it, but to make a world with her. To build a future with our own three hands and LIVE it. To have a home.
She's coming running to find you, Junpei. She's on her way back to you. This time, you're going to be saved.
For now, you know how to do this. Keep your eyes open. Seek a way out, no matter what it takes, and use everything around you. And remember: Church isn't your only chum for whom memory is the key.
